The Romanian partner of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania is the Babes-Bolyai University and together they are implementing the following activities:
Identification of cultural landscapes elements; research on the dynamic of landscapes, with a special focus on Apuseni Mountains region (locations with economic potential, revitalizing the traditional trades)
Preparation of the pilot project "Rural cultural heritage"; elaborating the curricula "Landscape dynamics in spatial development" and "Valuable Cultural Landscape in Apuseni Mountains region"
Modification of methods for Transylvanian regions; rediscover and preserve rural Transylvanian cultural heritage and its future use for regional development
Preparation of Transylvanian digital CL-register - focus on monuments of folk architecture and traditional craftsmen
Inventory of regional cultural landscapes, including student field camp; monuments of folk architecture, centers of traditional crafts, and traditional folk groups in the area researched; creating digital CL-register "Transylvania"
Trans-national marketing concept promoting educational activities of the Ethnographic Park and co-operations with further cultural heritage institutions including initiatives of regional economy; promoting traditional arts and crafts: organizing festivals and rural regional markets
Pilot project - as a contribution to transnational strategies which would revive traditional arts and crafts of the Transylvanian cultural landscape in order to improve the quality of life: Restoration/extension of one part of building in the Ethnographic Park "R. Vuia", Cluj-Napoca. Necessary pre-condition for setting-up museum information-centre; installing/equipping studio for teaching traditional trades including accommodation and catering (20 trainees, 5000 visitors); education offers on heritage-based economy/regional identity
Setting up the Transylvanian network; workshops and trans-regional trips
Co-operation with project partners; international workshop and trans-regional tour - Cluj-Napoca
Academic exchange, awareness-raising activities, student field camp/teaching exchange; cultural exchange with similar cultural institutions
Multi-media trans-national PR-activities of Transylvanian heritage in CADSES, presented through new museum centre; promotion activities including via internet
