Millions of Lego pieces make up the constructions that will be exhibited at the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania from October 2 to October 6.
The Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, an institution subordinated to the Cluj County Council, together with the Brickenburg Association organizes, from 2 to 6 October, the Brickenburg Exhibition, Ethnologia Galactica, a traditional event dedicated not only to LEGO(R) fans, but also to all those curious to explore the creative universe of the famous bricks.
This year's special focus is on LEGO(R) trains and railway systems, with the diorama built by Mr. Emilian Gavrilă accurately reproducing rolling stock, industrial landscapes and scenes from the life of railway staff.
The works and collections in the exhibition cover building styles and themes from the Jurassic era, heroic chivalric periods and the contemporary, reaching into the space age and exploring various fantasy worlds.
The museum is located in Cluj-Napoca, on Memorandumului str. no. 21, will exhibit constructions of impressive or modest size, but of admirable complexity, made from the well-known LEGO(R) pieces or works in the field of Toy Photo, realized by members of LUGs Brickenburg - Romania, LUG Kolege - Serbia, Kockajatek - Hungary and Fotografia Construttiva - Italy, as well as this year's special guests SEV Brick - Romania, Jonathan Baxter - USA, Mike Tendino - Helvetica Confederation and Boleslaw Lesmian - Poland, will propose imaginary journeys to the public that appeal to all ages.
The exhibition Ethnologia Galactica - LEGO(R) Fans Week, organized by the Brickenburg Association in cooperation with the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, is included in the official calendar of events organized by LEGO(R) Users Groups, recognized at ambassadorial level and is one of the most important events of its kind in Europe.
The LEGO(R) building workshop will be open to the public throughout the exhibition, and visiting children will be able to take part in a building speed contest on Sunday, October 6.
Entry to the LEGO(R) exhibition costs 10 lei. Visitors are expected from October 2-5, between 11.00. - 19.00 and on October 6 between 11.00 - 17.00
We respectfully remind the visiting public that the exhibits must not be touched, the LEGO(R) System pieces made available for play are intended for children over 5 years of age, the pieces and constructions may not be taken home, and children are supervised by their parents or other adults accompanying them.
