As we have announced in one of our previous posts, next weekend we invite you to the MINERALIA exhibition, which is already known to the general public from previous editions.
This autumn’s edition will take place in a new space, recently inaugurated at the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography, namely the Cellarium Gallery.
Crystals and minerals from around the world, along with rocks, fossils, meteorites, ornamental objects and jewelry executed by exhibitors exclusively from natural ornamental, semi-precious or precious stones.
This year’s edition is the largest exhibition of this kind organized so far.
The star mineral of this edition is the Rhodochrosite whose name comes from the joining of the Greek words “rhodon” (rose) and “chroma” (color), which perfectly describes the way this mineral presents itself to people. There are few places in the world where this mineral appeared: Romania, northern Greece, Argentina, the United States of America and South Africa. The value and fame of rhodochrosite are given by natural collection samples, decorative carvings and jewelry made from it.
MINERALIA will take place on October 7-9 this year, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., last entry at 5 p.m., at the institution’s headquarters, 21 Memorandum street.
