Due to the renovation works of the main building of the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography on Memorandum Street no. 21, the main exhibition of the indoor section will be closed beginning with October, 11, 2017. The date of re-opening will be announced on our website and Facebook page. The cultural manifestations and events will take place as they were planned.
During the renovation works, the museum shop at the main building of the institution (Memorandum Street no. 21) will be open from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During this renovation, we invite you to visit the National Ethnoghaphic Park „Romulus Vuia” (open-air section of the museum) from Wednesday to Sunday between 10-18 (last entry 17) till the hour change (passing to the winter hour) and between 9-16 (last entry 15) after this date.
The Ethnographical Park Romulus Vuia, situated on Taietura Turcului street (at the outskirts of the city, near Hoia Forest) is the first open-air museum in Romania, founded in 1929 and among the biggest open-air museum in Europe, having a surface of 16 hectars.
