Saturday, October 1, 2022, will be a day full of events in the “Romulus Vuia” National Ethnographic Park (the open-air section of the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography). The activities are part of the “Hungarian Folk Music and Dance Festival”, the 18th edition, organized this year in September 29 - October 1, in Cluj-Napoca by the Ordogtergye Folkloric Ensemble of CCS Cluj.
Beginning with 10 o’clock, activities for children will take place in the Ethnographic Park where children can immerse into the world of folk crafts. During this event, there will be a children’s dance class and an interactive musical instrument presentation concert held by Ördöngös Taraf. From 11 o’clock, there will be the Gala of Children and Youth Folk Ensembles “Tüzet viszek...”, 2nd edition. From 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., those interested will be able to participate in a guided tour of the museum. From 2 p.m., folkloric dances will be presented by Bogáncs and Zurbolo Ensembles from Cluj-Napoca on the outdoor stage set up in the “Romulus Vuia” Ethnographic Park. From 3:00 p.m., also in the Ethnographic Park, there will be a presentation of the book “Kalotaszegi vagdalásos mintagámky” with collections of special sewing patterns from Călata area, edited by Péter Mónika-Mária and Péter-Jani Csilla, and from 4:30 p.m., there will be presentations of clothes and accessories of three Transylvanian designers, inspired from folklore.
On Saturday, there will also be a fair of folk crafts and local producers in the Romulus Vuia Ethnographic Park, which will also continue on Sunday, October 2. Details at: https://fb.me/e/2eY1yZOrK
