Dear visitors,
The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography reopens on Wednesday, May 27th 2020, at 10 a.m. The visiting programme is between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., the last entry at 5 p.m., from Wednesday to Sunday.
We are waiting for you again in our exhibition spaces, both in the inside section, hosted by the Reduta Palace (the institution’s headquarters, 21, Memorandum street), as well as in the open air section, the “Romulus Vuia” National Ethnographic Park (Tăietura Turcului street, nearby the Hoia woods).
We continue to be preoccupied with the health of our visitors. Therefore, we have prepared a series of special measures for your protection.
We have installed information panels with the sanitary and social distancing norms recommended by the National Institute of Public Health, by which we request the following:
The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography (the Reduta Palace – 21, Memorandum street)
● Please wear a medical or non-medical mask throughout your visit to the museum. In order to ensure an adequate level of protection, the mask is positioned so as to fully cover your nose, mouth and chin.
● Please consider the fact that the allowed maximum number of visitors (simultaneously present) in an exhibition hall is 3 (three) people, in order to facilitate the maintenance of physical distance. And the duration of your visit will be limited to a maximum of 60 minutes.
● Keep a safety distance of at least 2 m from the other visitors and the museum staff you come in contact with.
● Disinfect your hands and footwear using the alcohol-based disinfectant and the decontaminating carpet provided to you at the museum entrance.
● You can request disposable bootees at the museum’s pay office.
● Follow the one-way visiting circuit established inside the exhibition rooms, as well as the instructions of the surveillance staff and the security service.
● Avoid group-formation.
● Between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., the exhibition space will be closed for disinfection.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
● When entering the museum, it is mandatory to perform observational triage and non-contact thermometrization of all visitors by the museum staff specially designated for this purpose, access being denied to persons with a body temperature exceeding 37.3 ° C and / or symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, sneeze, rhinorrhea). Persons who refuse to have their temperature checked will also be denied their access to the museum.
● Throughout the alert state, guided tours will be suspended.
The “Romulus Vuia” National Ethnographic Park (Tăietura Turcului street)

We mention that the houses’ interiors will not be open for visiting. It will be possible to visit the three churches located in the Ethnographic Park, but the maximum number of visitors simultaneously present inside the churches will be three (3).
