The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography, a public cultural institution that operates under the authority of the Cluj County Council, together with the Institute of Armenology (UBB) and the Unions of Armenians in Romania - Cluj Branch, invite you to the 4th edition of the Armenian Court Festival. The event will take place between June 23-25, 2023, at the headquarters of Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography (21, Memorandum street).
The festival will present, from as many angles as possible, the traditions, culture, literature, and music of the Armenian community in Romania and other areas. The three-day programme will contain unique moments: book launches, food tasting, dances and traditional clothing, editorial news, creative workshops.
The program will comprise:
Friday: festival opening (5 p.m.), VARDAVAR Dance Ensemble (Bucharest), Extraordinary ZHAN SMBATYAN Concert.
Saturday: Hungarian (Tureni) and Romanian (Gherla) folk dances from 11 a.m., workshop with ERMONE - glass icons, Bedros and Paul after their first visit to Armenia, concert - surprise with ASKIN AȘKEN, Varujan Vosganian book launch, extraordinary concert Cosmin Bălean Band. During the day, guided tour with Bogo, semi-precious gemstones from Alexa, food tasting.
Sunday: ERMONE workshop – glass icons, presentation of traditional Armenian costumes, presentation of fairy tales for children with Arsen Arzumanyan, presentation of books by the Ararat Publishing House with Anna Steib, workshop with Ermone – glass icons, presentation of traditional Armenian costumes, jazz & tonic trio (Casiana Lazăr, voice, Dima Belinski, piano, Tibi Menyhart, contrabass), final dance with the Hayakaghak Ensemble (Gherla). Throughout the festival, there will be an Armenian Bazaar (and more) from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
