The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography, a public cultural institution that operates under the authority of the Cluj County Council, together with the “Collection House” Association, invite you to watch the documentary film “The Presence of Motzi upon the Coronation of King Ferdinand I”, which takes place on Sunday, October 15th 2023, from 3 p.m., at the headquarters of the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography (21, Memorandum street).
The film was made on the occasion of the coronation centenary and brings forward a fascinating story about the participation of the “motzi” in the historical events occasioned by the coronation of King Ferdinand I of Romania.
The Motzi demonstrated impressive devotion to their king, coming from their isolated villages in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains to attend the important event. This documentary brings testimonies of the Motzi and their descendants, revealing emotional moments from their journey to Bucharest and the ceremony itself.
The entry is free.
