Immerse yourself in an enchanting world of ceramic sculptures! Join us at our captivating showcase featuring imaginative works by 50 students from a small ceramic studio. Guided by teachers from Tomash Pottery studio: Anastasiia Tomashivska and Oksana Babkina, these creative souls embarked on a five-day adventure in picturesque Turea, unearthing clay's secrets in the nearby quarry.
Immersed in nature's beauty, participants learned to find, identify, and prepare clay for their artistic endeavors. They crafted extraordinary sculptures using five distinct types of wild clay, with an intriguing twist: plant seeds were mixed in, resulting in sculptures where life sprouts and transforms the art form.
This exhibition goes beyond art—it's a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people amidst war. Students and teachers found solace and inspiration in ceramics, transcending hardships. The ceramic camp fostered camaraderie, friendship, personal growth, and the therapeutic benefits of sculpting.
Each sculpture showcases not just artistic expression, but the resilience of the human spirit. Emerging plants within the sculptures symbolize new life, a reminder that acquired skills endure, guiding us towards growth and renewal.
We extend our gratitude to Panek Zsuzsi, Madaras Dávid, Eszter Orban, David Kozma Klein, and the Turea/Türe village community for their warm welcome.
