The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography, a public cultural institution under the authority of the Cluj County Council, invites you on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., to the opening of the painting exhibition “Rural Flashes” by the autodidact Bessarabian artist Mihaela Danciu.
The exhibition will take place in Cellarium Gallery (21, Memorandum street).
“My childhood in the northern part of Moldova, the life of those years at the countryside, the nature, the people and everyday activities, all contribute as inspiration for everything I have achieved, both from a personal and a professional point of view. Now I contemplate landscape snapshots and light influence effects on rural poses. I use strong, vivid colours and techniques, overlapping layers in an attempt to create the most suggestive sensory and optical effects. At the same time, I am inspired from other arts to illustrate rural flashes as faithfully as possible” (Mihaela Danciu).
The exhibition will be open from May 10 - 24, 2024, from Wednesday - Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., last entry at 5 p.m.
