The negative on glass was made by Romulus Vuia, in the period 1910-1923, in the Părăginosu area, from the Parâng massif and presents, in the foreground, a mountain sheepfold, made up of a wooden construction – probably the sheepfold itself, where the shepherds lived, with a four-pitched roof, covered in shingles; the sheepfold, consisting of thin tree trunks and wooden sheepfold’s fenced place, with one-pitched roof supported by forks. The sheep were passed through the sheepfold’s fenced place when they were milked. The sheepfold is located on a steep slope, at the edge of the forest, and in the background there is also a part of stripped forest.
The negative, registered with title “Sheepfold from Părăginosu”, with inventory no. 134, is made on glass support, in the dry gelatin technique, having the dimensions of 9 cm x 12 cm.
